PM-1A

This project involves designing a wing positioning mechanism that will fit in the MPC/AMT/ERTL 1:48 scale X-Wing model.  The goal is to eliminate the wobbly out of sync operation that the kit provides with a compact device that keeps the wings in position, eliminates the wobble and opens and closes them in perfect synchronization.

PM-1B

This project involves designing a wing positioning mechanism that will fit in the Pro-Shop 1:35 scale X-Wing model.  The goal is to eliminate the wobbly out of sync operation that the kit provides with a compact device that keeps the wings in position, eliminates the wobble and opens and closes them in perfect synchronization.

The design will take the place of the motor in the kit and eliminate the motor for the canopy.  The unit will fit over the existing screw mounting posts with the mount for the motor being towards the front under the R2 unit.  The development log can be viewed by clicking the image to the left.  Production prototypes have been completed and tested.  See the Kits page for ordering details.

PM-1D

This project involves designing a wing positioning mechanism that can be used in the 1:17 scale Hasbro X-Wing toy.  The compact device will keep the wings in position, eliminates any wobble and opens and closes them in perfect synchronization.

Given the toy does not have opening wings a considerable amount of scratch building will be required to utilize the mechanism.  Looking for a physical kit to use for measurements and to perfect the fit of the mechanism.  Anyone want to collaborate?

PM-1C

This project involves designing a wing positioning mechanism that can be used in scratch built 1:24 scale X-Wing models  The compact device will keep the wings in position, eliminates any wobble and opens and closes them in perfect synchronization.

Given the many 1:24 scale versions out there one generalized compact as possible kit will likely be produced.  It will be up to modelers to scratch fit them into their models.  I will be open to feedback on features to make that as easy as possible without creating multiple variations.  Critical measurements will need to be decided upon.
